Suggested 1.5-Year Plan of Study
Must complete 30 hours total:
27 hours of a coursework which is a combination of compulsory (core) and elective courses, and
3 hours of a master project course (DFSC 6347) (Must register at your terminal-semester).
(Continuous enrollment in the DFSC 6347 course is required upon initiation of DFSC 6347 until completion.)
If acceptance letter indicates any lack in Stem Work, you must complete COSC 5301/5302 in your first major semester.
COSC/DFSC 5340 Special Topics: count only up to 6 credits towards your degree.
COSC 5301/5302 do NOT count towards the degree plan.
Strongly encouraged to complete all cores before/during your penultimate-semester to avoid graduation delay. Note that you are required to complete written comprehensive exams (scheduled in Sept. or Oct.) in core subjects where you received a grade of B or lower.
Students can take 1 - 4 courses per semester.
