Jayanthi Ramamoorthy

Jayanthi Ramamoorthy is a cybersecurity researcher and educator specializing in malware detection, reverse engineering, and forensic analysis. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity at Sam Houston State University and has published extensively on APT malware, system call analysis, and anomaly-based threat detection. Her research focuses on automated malware analysis,machine learning for malware classification, and ELF binary analysis.

Previously, she served as a Security Engineer on Amazon's Threat Detection team, where she contributed to Linux malware detection and telemetry optimization. She also worked as an AWS Cloud Security Architect, designing secure cloud infrastructures for NASA and federal agencies.

As an Assistant Professor of Practice at Sam Houston State University, she has taught Windows Malware Analysis, Computer Networking, and Computer Architecture Undergraduate courses.

Her research contributions include publications in IEEE, Electronics, and CSNet, on analysis and detection techniques for evolving Linux threats.
